The customer needed custom turn/milling for their specifically engineered parts out of material with a hardness of Rockwell 50.

Parts had tolerances as tight as +/-.012mm (or +/-.0005” for you imperial folk!) and required immaculately smooth surface finishes, which was a bit of a challenge with the length of stick out required from the tooling.
